ITSS Germany Young Research Award
The IEEE ITSS Germany Young Research Award (YRA) is granted biennially for the student work in any ITS area that is innovative and relevant to practice.
This award has been established to encourage student research in Germany that combines theory and practice, having the potential to contribute to the ITSS.

Nomination Materials
Each application must consist of the following materials:
- A paper or master thesis written in English or German by the applicant while at a German institution (university, company or research insistute), published from January 2022 to September 2023.
- A summary of the work in English of one page in length written by the applicant, highlighting the significance of the problem and the contribution.
- A letter of recommendation from the applicant’s current or former advisor that attests to the originality of the work (optional, recommended).
- The applicant’s IEEE membership number. (optional)
Submission
Please submit your nomination to awards@ieee-itss-germany.org either attaching the nomination materials directly to the e-mail or providing a link to a shared online folder. If you have any questions, do not hestitate asking us at awards@ieee-itss-germany.org.
Prize
The winners will receive a certificate, a cash prize and a travel felloswhip to the 2023 ITSS R8 Chapters Meeting. The awards ceremony will be celebrated during the gala dinner of the 2023 ITSS R8 Chapters Meeting, taking place in Berlin 30th November – 1st December.
Evaluation
A dedicated selection committee will evaluate all qualified applications and make selections.
